Trixie is approximately a 5 year old girl of unknown mixing. She has some bird dog in her but who knows what else.  She and her sister Dixie came from the shelter in Waveland Mississippi after Hurricane kartina. The sisters were quite scared when they joined us and still have some fear when meeting new people (Dixie is less frightened than Trixie).  The girls need to go to a home together because they are very bonded. They even sleep wound up together.  I suppose from what they have been through, they probably kept each other alive during the storm, they deserve to stay together.

Once they get to know you, they are very affectionate and playful – silly in fact.  They love to run in the play yard and would want a large fenced yard for exercise. However they need to be inside dogs (they are house trained) and don’t need to be left out in the rain.
